The following is a review of a Dio show of the third North American leg of the Angry Machines tour, originally e-mailed to me.

Saw Dio in Detroit at the State theater. They played 15 songs total, including FIVE encores (mostly Rainbow material). The venue was close to a sellout (some people still got tickets at the door, though).

I saw Dio twice before on this tour (Phoenix and San Francisco) but this show was by far the best! Ronnie was definitely in great form that night. He also got some support from the local radio station in Detroit, WRIF-FM, that I didn't see in the other cities I saw them play in.

I'm glad to see they are extending their tour to Canada and a few more U.S. dates. After such a hard go of it during the first US leg of the tour, it's great to see that the fan interest is finally being reawakened.

Keep up the good work,
-Chuck Begian
