I went to the following shows over the past 3 days:
The Santa Ana show was another fantastic show! The guys really rocked the place! And the crowd was just going nuts! Ronnie was really pleased with the show (although he said that he is never satisfied with the performance and strives to improve each and every night. Everyone has continued to improve with each successive night. New bassist Larry, "Bones" is a great bass player. I spoke with him in Santa Ana and he's overjoyed to be playing with Dio. He's a powerhouse on stage too. Check him out at the shows, he's very friendly (as are all the guys in Dio). The whole Appice family was in attendance tonight and I spoke with Carmine for a while. He was doind an admirable job minding the kids (youngsters who slept through the whole show). :-) Spent another night speaking with Keyboard player Scott Warren. He's a great guy who I met at a friends house. Claude Schnell was at the show and was walking around backstage being a very friendly and talkative guy. Tracy G was hangning with some friends but was happy to speak to fans and sign autographs. Ronnie came out after a while and spoke with the 7 of us that were waiting to see him again. Again he was a fantastic person and remembered all 5 of our names from the night before. He said that after the German tour they are coming back to the US to start a second leg of the tour around Jan. 15th and that they would be playing LA again in late Jan/early Feb. I will, of course, be at those shows. I may even end up going back to the East Coast for the first show on the second leg.
