Cozy Powell was in Rainbow with Ronnie James Dio from Autumn 1975 to November 1978, when Ronnie James Dio left the band. Cozy continued with Rainbow for a couple of years.
Besides Rainbow, Cozy Powell played in various different bands, for example Black Sabbath, Gary More, Michael Schenker Group, ELP and The Brian May Band.
Cozy Powell died in a car accident near Bristol, UK on April 5th, 1998.
